The lifeblood
of any rare coin company is the ability to buy coins. Very simply
put, if we dont buy coins, we have nothing to sell. YOUR COLLECTION
IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US. We know it is essential to pay you top dollar
for your collection in order to make you happy. Our years of experience
and expertise give us a great advantage by constantly having the pulse
of the marketplace at hand.
We are priviledged
to have opportunities to evaluate many coins and collections, servicing
up to 60 customer appraisals per week. Many of those appraisals are
for people who are just curious about what they have; however, a large
percentage who take advantage of our free appraisal services do actually
sell their coins. Our professional manner, in which we treat your
collection, our large retail customer base, and extensive capital
resources allow us to pay the most for your coins. We are happy to
provide a complete written appraisal, which in itself is not the norm
for the industry. We are established and approved Probate court appraisers
for rare coins, and can help you with any estate work you need. We
also do appraisal work for insurance purposes, and can provide you
with references upon request.
The first step
is to call us at 1-800-422-4405. Please ask for one of our professional
appraisers to assist you. By talking with you on the phone, we will
be able to get an idea of your needs and then determine the best course
of action for viewing your collection.
We have four full
time appraisers/buyers with a combined 50 plus years of experience
and work diligently to answer all your questions to your complete
satisfaction. Remember, you are the lifeblood of our business. We
need your business and will go the extra mile to be certain you are
satisfied. Please give us the opportunity to bid on your collection.
WE PROVIDE
"FREE COIN COLLECTION APPRAISALS" AT MANY BANKS...
There is good
news if you live in the State of Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia or
Western Pennsylvania. We have free coin appraisal days at over 150
different bank locations, offering them throughout the year. Most
likely you live within 25 miles of one of our designated bank branches.
Therefore, you can bring your coin collection to one of these bank
appraisal events, or if special circumstances warrant, we will make
house calls when in the area. Call our office to discuss this further.
Our bank coin appraisal schedule is provided below for your consideration
along with answers to some frequently asked questions. If a location
near you is NOT listed below, you can send us an e-mail letting us
know what city you are from and well notify you as soon as we
have something scheduled for that area.
FAQ...
Q. Do I need
an appointment?
A. No, unfortunately
we are unable to schedule appointment times during these events. Because
the size of each individual collection varies, it is very difficult
to determine the amount of time needed to complete each appraisal.
Instead we do our very best to see as many people as possible while
giving each individual the attention that they deserve.
Q. Is there
a limit to the number of coins I can bring in that day?
A. No, we will
appraise a single coin to a suitcase full of coins. Only under certain
circumstances, if a collection is extremely large, will we ask to
schedule a time later to see a person, so that we do not keep anyone
waiting too long. Through many years of experience we have found that
most collections can be handled during the bank appraisal day.
Q. Do you appraise
foreign coins?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you appraise
old paper money?
A. Yes.
Q. What if
I am unable to make it to the scheduled bank coin appraisal day in
my area?
A. Typically,
depending on the bank location, we will return again within three
months. Just send us an e-mail at info@hcc-coin.com
or call us toll free at 1-800-422-4405 and let us know which event
you were hoping to attend and we will send you a notice to let you
know when the next event is scheduled in that area. We will notify
you via e-mail or we can mail a notice to your home (make sure to
include your address if you prefer we mail the notice to you). Also
if you scroll up a bit further, you will see we post our Appraisal
schedule on this web site. Check back monthly to see when we might
be in your area next.
Q. Is the appraisal
at the bank private?
A. Yes. When you
arrive at the bank and it is your turn, you will meet with the appraiser
in a private office area.
Q. How and
when do I get paid?
A. We traditionally
pay with a corporate check just like any normal business transaction,
and your payment is immediate. We can provide a bank certified check
or wire if necessary.
