Beginning in 2010, the United States Mint is issuing new quarter-dollars featuring national site designs depicted on the reverse (tails side) of the coins. A restored version of the familiar 1932 John Flanagan portrait of George Washington will be featured on the obverse (heads) of each coin. The 2010 United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set, the first annual set of this exciting series, contains five coins which honor Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas; Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming; Yosemite National Park in California; Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona; and Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon.
