There have been a lot of errors on the Formative Years Lincoln Cent minted in 2009, but none as obvious to the naked eye as this, the “broken bootstrap”. This variety was struck from a single die for a short period of time which appears as if Lincoln’s bootstrap is broken and hanging from his boot! HCC is pleased to offer examples of this desirable mint error while they last, each coin certified and encapsulated by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) to preserve for all time. We have limited supplies of this error (very few were certified from the Bootstrap Collection) starting in Mint State (64) condition and going up to a near perfect Mint State (69).
